Penny Johnson was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, where her father worked for NASA. She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s in Education and received her Master's in Education from the University of West Florida.
Shortly after her college graduation, Penny married an Air Force officer. They spent 16 of his 30-year career in the armed forces overseas in various places in Europe and The Pacific. Penny had a rewarding 25+ year career as an elementary school teacher where she worked for several school systems in the United States. She was also able to teach in Tokyo, England, and Belgium while stationed overseas. Penny was awarded Sustained Superior Performance Awards throughout her teaching career.
Penny began her second career in Real Estate in 2006 following her husband's retirement as a Colonel in the Air Force. They made their move home to Auburn, Alabama, and Penny joined the team at Coldwell Banker Alliance. Penny serves as an associate broker, and has earned the following designations:

Penny is an active member of the Lee County Association of Realtors. She currently serves as past president (2015) and past treasurer. She has twice been named Member of the Year (2013 and 2016). And has continued to chair/serve on numerous committees. She is also a member of the East Alabama Women’s Council of Realtors.
Penny is a member of the Woman’s Club of Auburn and also the Auburn University Campus Club. She and her husband are regular supporters of Auburn Athletics and the College of Education. You’re likely to see them cheering at any and all Auburn sporting events.
In her spare time, Penny enjoys reading, golf, travel, games, and most importantly family. Anyone who knows Penny knows how much she values and cherishes her time with her family here in Auburn.
